Exploring anger

Practical and effective steps for dealing with anger and stress
“Anyone can become angry – that is easy.  But to be angry with the right person at the right degree, at the right time and for the right purpose and in the right way, that is not easy”. Aristotle’s challenge.

The subject of anger is a complicated one. The symptoms of anger are not only in our emotions, but also in our bodies, own minds and our behaviour.  Much of our behaviour is unconscious so any steps towards, having more harmony in our lives, particularly in the area of anger, inevitably means challenging ourselves on a more conscious level.

Trainings are designed for groups and individuals who work with the public on a face-to-face basis and have to deal with challenging situations both personal and professional.  Whether the ‘situation’ involves you, or you are exposed to someone else having to deal with aggression, these incidents, when frequent and unexpected, often lead to debilitating stress and increased anxiety in the workplace. The training will explore ‘challenging situations’, and specifically how to deal with the strong emotions of others whether angry or sad etc. whilst remaining calm and empathic.  Focusing mainly on anger and aggression, we need to be familiar with or own emotions and anger styles. By the end of the training the participants will have some simple, effective tools and steps for dealing with challenging situations.

One to one coaching is also available.
